Andrea Vedrody, President
Andrea works for MillerKnoll as a product development engineer on the global seating team. She’s on the employee sustainability team focusing on increasing grassroots sustainable initiatives within her company. Her BSME is from Michigan State University where she was involved with the Society of Women Engineers and worked as a Fabrication Student Teacher in the Manufacturing Teaching Lab. She is passionate about sustainability and people, and using engineering to bring more harmony between the constructed and natural environments. In her free time she enjoys reading, traveling, spending time in nature and socializing with friends and family.
Lindsay Bonn, Vice President
Lindsay works for Howmet Aerospace as a Process Engineer. She is responsible for the heat treatment department and for improving the manufacturing process for titanium castings. She graduated from Michigan State University with a BS in Material Science and Engineering, where she had various roles in SWE including vice president. Lindsay also was involved in SWE as secretary of the Pittsburgh professional section. An avid reader and ballet dancer in her free time, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her husband and dog exploring the great outdoors.
Melissa Van Baren, Secretary
Melissa works for GE Aviation as an Electronics Hardware Design Engineer. She graduated from Calvin University with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and got a Masters of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Kate Cicchino, Treasurer
Kate works as a project manager at Beumer Corporation. She holds a BSME from Kettering University and PMP from the Project Management Institute. Kate has been and officer with Grand Rapids SWE for the past several years, served as President of her Kettering University SWE section and has served as a SWE Senator to Region E.
Amy Rokos, Outreach Chair
Amy works for Stryker as a Senior Staff Software R&D Engineer in Orthopaedic Instruments, working on guided surgical instruments. She formerly spent 11 years in the aviation industry. Amy has her BS from Michigan Tech in Computer Engineering. She has served SWE at the local level as president, secretary, counselor, and various committee roles throughout her collegiate and professional time as a SWE member. In her spare time, Amy enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and 3 school-aged kids. She also enjoys board games, various crafts, and racing triathlons.
Pamela Seibert, Outreach Chair
Pamela has professional experience estimating and managing subcontractors with a large heavy-civil firm spanning North America; as well as providing professional services for civil site development throughout the midwest. Most recently, she has started her own travel agency. Taking the knowledge of scheduling and budgeting construction projects to clients personal vacations, learning marketing strategies, gaining repeat customers and strong proposal development. She has her BS from Michigan Tech in Civil Engineering and currently is on the Industrial Advisory Board for their construction management degree. Pamela has served SWE at the local level as vice-president, secretary, and counseling a number of university chapters throughout her collegiate and professional time. In her spare time, Pamela enjoys home renovation projects, sewing and is an award winning pie baker. She also enjoys traveling with her husband as much as possible, whether it’s by plane, snowmobile or having their camper in tow.
